Epified: Krishna Videos


These videos are similar to last week. An artist draws the picture that the narrator is creating. It starts with Krishna as a boy, and speaks about those who wanted to prevent his birth. Once born, they tried to keep him from growing older.

Kamsa-

Vasudev meets Yamuna- He takes his son and leaves their prison cell, leaving his wife behind. he ask Yamuna for help. Guided by a voice in his head he reaches a camp of people, and switches his child for a girl infant you had been born that night. He took the girl back to his wife.

Durga Speaks to Kamsa-  Kamsa was happy that they had a girl, and not bot who would take over his rule. When he tried to smash the little girl a light blinded him. He shrunk with fear. Durga spoke to him, scolding him. She told him his replacement had already been born, and was safe elsewhere.

Putana- She wakes up to find a boy, not the girl she had given birth. People from all over the land loved her son, Krishna. Putana visited them. After becoming part of the family, she changed form and turned into a demoness and stole Krishna from their home. She planned to kill him by feeding him from her poison in her milk. But Krishna did not die, he Tok from her, her very life. His mother found him gain after hearing the dying screams of Putana.

Maakhan Chor- Danger arrives to Krishna again. He comes to be known as a naughty child and became known as the boy whole stole butter.

Krishna's Mouth- When his mother asked him to show her the mud he was eating. She saw not mud in his mouth, but the universe within his mouth. She was alarmed, but she now knew she was not the mother of a child, but a God.

Dreams and Music- A group in a village had dreams that told them to move. Krishna and his family were part of this group. Krishna and his friends frequently went into the forest, and also started playing music and the flute. While playing the flute he realized all had went quiet around him. When he found his friends they had all died due to a snake. Krishna challenged the snake, and through his music he won over the snake. Those around him now knew he was a special person.

Kamsa's Terrors-  As Krishna grew into a young man. he was still mischievous.

The Govardhan Hill- Krishna requested that they worship this hill. he lifted the hill with his little finger and saved those attending the worship from the wrath of their enemy.

Radha's Love- Krishna played flat while cows grazed. People flocked to him, and he developed a crush on Radha. They grew up together, they were one soul. When jealous once of her beauty he colored her face black so she looked like him. Krishna suffered the burns on his tongue when Radha drank scolding milk. These stories told how connected they were.
