Story Source: The Giant Crab, and Other Tales from Old India by W. H. D. Rouse.
Characters-
She-Goblins
Husbands
Sailors
Fairy
Human eating
Wrecked Ship
deception
One sailor told what he suspected was the truth, and only some of the other sailors believed him.
A fairy sent a horse to rescue the men. Those who believed that the wives were Goblins were saved, those who stayed were killed and eaten that very night.
What is the moral of the story? Not very clear. Believe what someone tells you? That wouldn't make sense. Perhaps, it is to listen to others, but investigate even if you do not believe them. To always taking things into consideration? Instead of immediate dismissal.
